A recent COMPAS poll absolutely demolishes the pet theory of the navel-gazing so-called experts who anecdotally claim that most Canadians are opposed to Monopoly banking, transportation and media.
In a comprehensive survey, 90 per cent of Canadians preferred a wide range of Monopolys including new media versions. Even more surprising, considering all the useless fluff about the
anti-corporate stance of young people, is that Monopoly received a positive rating in all age categories.
"Ya. Monopoly's cool," said one twenty-something respondent, "I always go for the railroads and Park Place first." Another respondent noted, "I really like the new Monopoly computer game, the hotels and money are way more realistic."
